Project and Submission Requirements

  • Write-Up. Provide a written defense of your project, explaining its strength in each of the four judging criteria (see Judging and Criteria in the Rules). Provide supporting facts and statistics as appropriate. Documents are flexible in length, but it is suggested to keep things below five pages in total. Include an abstract and summarized responses for each criterion (which may be up to 200 words each) at the beginning of the document. 
  • Demo video. Include a short video summary of your proposal. Your video should be under 5 minutes, include all the necessary information, and highlight your novel idea/proposal. It will be used for the jury (together with the write-up) to evaluate your project.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

The four criteria are:

  • Trustworthiness - adhering and considering the guidelines for Trustworthy AI while making AI inclusive
  • Impactfulness - for solving the real-world problem in a feasible way while minimizing bias
  • Ambitiousness - for the scale and complexity of solution
  • Applicability - for its chances of adoption in the real world
